OK Brace Yourself....I Need to Tell You A Few Things First

Thing #1. YOU Are Not A Failure: I tell my kids all the time "You only fail if you give up"

Thing #2. YOU Are Capable Of Achieving Great Things: That right now will seem impossible

Thing #3. It Is Not Your Fault That These Previous Attempts Haven't Worked: The industry preys on you failing, especially around the Summer, Christmas and New Year!!!!!

The simple truth of the matter is that carefree days have been replaced by 24/7 responsibilities, marriage/relationships, a baby or two (or three), a mortgage and a boss who reminds you of all three.

Maybe you'll agree....

Pringles and chocolate bars that once disappeared in a puff of metabolic smoke now linger like an oil spill.

Get this >> did you know your physiological capacity - the overall performance of most of your body's systems decreases by around 1% per year from 30 onwards. 

Hence the pringle and chocolate hangover

Muscle mass decreases by 3 - 5% each decade after your 30's

So what can you do to safeguard this? 

You need to switch your focus to preventative fitness

What Qualifies Me To Coach You...

Been there, done that, got the t-shirt.

Every struggle you're facing when it comes to your health and fitness is one i've struggled to overcome in the past.

I'll let you into a secret, I am a product of the dieting culture.

I spent most of my twenties out of shape, I would bury my frustration in junk food, forget about my day with booze, and then try to absolve my sins by dieting or getting on a treadmill for an hour. I didn't like the person I saw in the mirror. 

No matter how many new so called 'diet hacks' I tried. I was still stuck.

Yep, just like you I was told that there was some magical properties to these diets that made them work. I was told that these diets and endless cardio were the only way to lose weight.

What I never realised was that these diets were too restrictive. They didn't allow me to make choices for my well-being, they didn't give me the tools to enjoy and stick to my guns for the long term.

When I failed at what was supposed to be 'foolproof', i'd feel like a failure. If this method was so popular, there must be something wrong with me.

They all worked great for a few weeks and then it just as quickly fell apart. 

Same hamster, new wheel.

What I discovered was that it wasn't me.

I just needed to find another way that worked for me, that didn't deprive me of joy, and was healthy and sustainable and still made me lose weight and feel good.

I got fed up of the industry bullsh*t, opinions and misinformation.

Instead what I found was, the best way begins and ends with you. Not some dogmatic approach to sell pretty books or programmes.

​​Consistent, measurable changes in lifestyle and choices do.

 

They aren't necessarily easy, but they don't have to be complicated.

As a dad in my 40's I know where you are at and I know it's possible for you to be your best self.

The Perth Fitness Camp is the start of you living your most authentic life.
