Wow what a quick year.
To be honest my year didn't start well and was pretty emotional which mean't everything else went out the window, my training and food was all over the place and it took some sucking up to get back in the game.
But you don't want to hear about all that, it's supposed to be a happy time of year.
So this year I turned 40 and was determined to achieve my best time at Total Warrior.
I think ranking in the top 10 in my age group has to be one of the highlights of this year and has given me a bit of an obstacle racing bug.
Not bad for a former overweight and out of shape guy.
I actually feel fitter now than I did in my 20's.
We also took our biggest team from the Perth Fitness Camp down to Edinburgh for the event, some going for the first time.
I'm a proud coach, some of these guys started at ground zero and doing something like this would have not entered their mind when they first joined the team.
The Perth Fitness Camp has come along way since it established in 2009 with just 2 people, some nights nobody turned up.
It's an amazing sight to see week in, week out watching them all training.
I suppose it's kind of ironic that they had to overcome their own obstacles and fears to get to this point and then sign up for an obstacle race.
Next year our team is even bigger and if it's something that you've always wanted to do then i'd love to be a part of your training. Click HERE to find out how the Perth Fitness Camp is helping busy over 30's women take back control of their health and fitness.
So yes, a great year with ups and downs.
